One of the things we can do to oppose corporate power and make markets fairer is to buy fairly traded products whenever we can. Doing so not only gives direct support to working people and their communities, it also sends a clear signal to the big corporates that we want the goods we buy to be made under conditions that are environmentally friendly and fair to all.

Stockport Fair Trade Group is one of the leading activist groups promoting fair trade in Greater Manchester – and they are holding their annual Christmas fair on the 24th of this month. What better time to make a contribute to a better world? So make a note in your diary to get down there, buy your presents and tasty goodies, and make Christmas a time to celebrate trade justice.
